Riverside, Iowa (January 25, 2014) — Riverside Casino continues to offer up a wide range of music to keep Eastern Iowan’s (and those from beyond) coming back. I have lost track of how many sold-out, or nearly sold-out showd Riverside has had in the past 3 years. Their latest accomplishment was TESLA. You remember — the band who redid The Five Man Electrical Band’s 1971 hit “Signs” — yeah, that band!
TESLA’s line-up consists of four of its original members: vocalist Jeff Keith, guitarist Frank Hannon, bassist Brian Wheat, and drummer Troy Luccketta, and a new guitarist in Dave Rude who has brought a new energy and creativity to the band.
TESLA was formed in Sacramento, CA, in 1985. After playing several showcases in Los Angeles, TESLA quickly scored a deal with Geffen and released their debut album, Mechanical Resonance in 1986; it produced the hard rock hits and crowd favorites “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” Mechanical Resonance reached the Top 40 on the album charts, and eventually went platinum.
Zak Neumann covered TESLA for Live Gig Shots and provided photos from TESLA’s show.
