IOWA CITY, IOWA ( September 13, 2013) Quinn Sullivan defies everything  a 14 year old should accomplish in  168 months.  Quinn began guitar lessons at  5 years old and by  8  he drew the attention of Buddy Guy. He has toured the world with Buddy Guy, released 2 records, played on late night talk shows and was invited by Eric Clapton to play the Crossroads Festival  at Madison Square Gardens in 2013. Opening up for his mentor Buddy Guy, Sullivan directed the band, made up mostly of Buddy Guy’s band, with the confidence of a someone 3 times his age.  I watched in awe as all the guitar slingers I have ever seen ran through my head.  The only real comparison that stuck was a combination of the grace of Derek Trucks and the finesse of Eric Clapton. I cannot say in 30 years I have  ever compared someone to Clapton.
