Iowa City, Iowa (September 13, 2013) Iowa City’s Soul Festival was host to Johnny Kilowatt featuring Gloria Hardiman on Friday the 13th as the night’s closing band after Buddy Guy. They took the stage around 10:00 and played a soulful set to an enthusiastic group of people who hung around after Buddy Guy were treated to more quality blues and soul.  Fronted by Jon Klinkowitz, guitar and vocals, Bill Peterson on keyboards, Ed English,bass,  Saul Lubaroff, sax , James Robinson, drums and Chicago’s Gloria Hoffman, vocals.  Jon Klinkowitz has been playing modern electric blues in the Iowa City music scene for more than two decades and was a founding member of the Blues Instigators.  He has also played with other groups, including 2007 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Patrick Hazell, and the band, Mother Blues.
