Jimmie Lawrence Vaughan was born on March 20, 1951 in Dallas County, Texas He formed the band The Fabulous Thunderbirds with singer and harpist Kim Wilson. Vaughan left the band in 1989 and made his only “duo album” Family Style, with his younger brother Stevie Ray Vaughan. The album was released a month after the fatal helicopter accident that included Stevie Ray. Jimmie Vaughan released his first solo album “Strange Pleasure”  in 1994.  Jimmie Vaughan’s “Plays Blues, Ballads & Favorites,” was released  in 2010 and “Plays More Blues, Ballads & Favorites” in 2011. He received a Grammy for “Do You Get The Blues?” in 2001.
